Body Inquire June 2008 Singapore Arts Festival 28 mins

In Body Inquire, Joavien Ng revisits her institutional training as a dancer. Researching the life and work of iconic modern dance-maker Martha Graham, she probes the identity of the moving body. On a stage divided into halves, like a forum discussion, we see a personal and witty discourse about dance as practice and philosophy.

Body Inquire was commissioned by the Singapore Arts Festival 2008, Forward Moves, a platform featuring emergent choreographers in Singapore.
